Join the movement towards better fitness with the Functional Movement Screen at Spectrum Medical! The Functional Movement screen (or FMS) is a test used to identify asymmetries or deficiencies in an in the individual’s strength, flexibility and general movement and allows one the opportunity to train accordingly.
Following the screen, corrective exercises are issued and eventually access is given to a self-screening app that will allow you to monitor your progress for maintenance.
Two packages are available with pricing as follows:

Raekwon Giggetts, “Rae”, grew up in Chatham, Virginia where he attended Chatham High School and played football. Upon graduation from high school, he attended Ferrum College where he continued his football career. Rae received his B.S. in Health and Human Performance and minored in coaching during his time at Ferrum. His participation in athletics led to his passion for body building, and has inspired his interests to further discover how to train others to function at their best.
He is a fitness enthusiast which has encouraged his training and certification to perform the Functional Movement Screen. He currently works at Spectrum Medical, Inc. as a physical therapy technician and also screens and progresses clients within The Movement program. Do I need a physician’s order to take part in The Movement program?
No, you do not need an order from a doctor to participate with this program.
Will I be seen by a Physical Therapist when I come in for The Movement?
No, you will be seen by a certified specialist who has been trained to utilize the Functional Movement Screen.
How long will each session last?
The first session will last about an hour with subsequent sessions lasting approximately forty-five minutes.
If I am having pain, should I take part in The Movement program?
It is not advised to begin The Movement program if you are currently experiencing pain. Pain should be evaluated by a medical doctor or physical therapist and your journey to healthy movement should begin with intervention to address your pain before you initiate an exercise routine of any kind.
